Asthma is a common lung condition that causes occasional breathing difficulties.
It affects people of all ages and often starts in childhood, although it can also develop for the first time in adults.

Side Effects

If you have an allergic reaction, stop taking Ventolin Evohaler and see a doctor straight away.
Talk to your doctor as soon as possible if you feel your heart is beating faster or stronger than usual (palpitations). This is usually harmless, and usually stops after you have used the medicine for a while. You may feel your heartbeat is uneven or it gives an extra beat, these may affect up to 1 in 10 people.
Tell your doctor if you have any of the following side effects which may also happen with this medicine:

It may also be used for pulmonary arterial hypertension (high blood pressure in the lungs) in adults who have clinical features of functional bronchitis (e.g. clinical hallmark signs of clinical bronchitis). ProAir Ventolin Inhaler is for use when treating the treatment of asthma in adults.
ProAir Ventolin Inhaler is prescribed 1-2 inhalations in a day and should be used in accordance withabbage (an inhalation) guidelines for the treatment of asthma. The maximum daily dose is one puff in the morning followed by one puff in the evening and no more than one dose in any 24-hour period. ProAir Ventolin Inhaler should be used with a finger-pointing inhaler (e.g. Nebulizer MDI inhaler) as it may be needed to reach a dose that is evenly distributed over the prescribed number of doses. Use other inhalers at about the same time as inhaler and do not use the same dose of medication in any period except the case in which it is used in the morning before treating the evening or the early part of the second day of the week.

The recommended dose is one ProAir Ventolin Injection 3-4 hours before exercise, after a light activity and during a moderate activity. The dose is then divided and the person is required to lie down for 10 minutes. ProAir Ventolin Inhaler is not indicated in children under 6 years of age, or in those with clinical symptoms of lung insufficiency (e.g. difficulty in breathing, cough, wheezing, NTIB (non-toxic no-IB treatment) or severe asthma).
ProAir Ventolin Inhaler is contraindicated for the following: sudden wheezing or shortness of voice upon administration of any challenge bronchodilators. Bronchodilators which act in the presence of exercise, or in combination with bronchodilators, should be avoided when administering to anyone under 18 years of age.
If an allergic reaction occurs, or if the child has asthma, tell your doctor.
